Hormones are substances that occur naturally in the body and control the growth and activity of normal cells. Hormonal therapies can be given to try and slow down the growth of cancer cells and improve symptoms.
Cancerbackup has a section on secondary breast cancer, which contains more information on different hormonal therapies. There are also sections on the different hormonal therapy drugs.
